Philadelphia Garlic & Herbs
Also known as: Philadelphia with Garlic and Herbs
Philadelphia Garlic & Herbs is a Philadelphia soft cheese with garlic and herbs, made with milk and real cream, with 30% less fat than Philadelphia Original.
Philadelphia Garlic & Herbs is a soft cheese (cream cheese) from the Philadelphia brand, flavoured with garlic and herbs. In Europe it is made by Mondelez International. It has the same fresh, creamy taste as Philadelphia Original, with a garlic and herb aroma.
The ingredients are pasteurised milk, real cream, medium-fat soft cheese, garlic (1.3%), salt, herbs, stabilisers (guar gum and carrageenan) and citric acid. It has 30% less fat than Original, about 10.5 g per 100 g. There are no added preservatives, and it is suitable for vegetarians.
How to use it: the brand suggests stirring it into cooked bacon and mushrooms for a creamy pasta sauce, or spreading it in wraps instead of mayonnaise. It also goes with crackers, vegetable sticks, baked potatoes and stuffed vegetables. Keep it in the fridge and use it within a few days of opening.
The brand also makes Philadelphia Original and Philadelphia Light. Cream cheese belongs to the fresh cheeses.
Why it matters to you: a ready-flavoured soft cheese replaces several ingredients in a dish and contains less fat than classic cream cheese.
