Spirit line ✔ Checked: 10.2026 · sources: 4 Updated:

Peated single malt Scotch whisky The Glenturret, at least 7 years old; in the core range since 2023; 46% ABV in the 2024 collection.

The Glenturret 7 Year Old Peat Smoked is a peated single malt Scotch whisky from The Glenturret distillery in Perthshire. The youngest whisky in the bottle is at least seven years old. According to The Spirits Business, the 2024 collection was bottled at 46% ABV.

Whisky Magazine reports that this version was part of the 2023 core collection along with Triple Wood, 10 Year Old Peat Smoked, 12 and 15 Year Old. Bob Dalgarno created the collection, and the brand renews it every year. In the 2020 relaunch, according to Drinks International, there was only one peated version: the ten-year-old. Sources do not name the cask type for the seven-year-old, so check the label of the specific year.

Why it matters to you. This is the younger of the brand's two peated versions: The Glenturret 10 Year Old Peat Smoked is three years older and bottled at a higher strength. Peated whisky has a smoky aroma from malt dried over peat. If you do not want smoke, consider The Glenturret Triple Wood or the 12 Year Old. The WHO reminds: there is no safe level of alcohol consumption.
