π₯ Beefeater Pink
A Beefeater gin with natural strawberry flavouring; 37.5% ABV; based on the classic Beefeater recipe.
Beefeater Pink, full name Beefeater London Pink Strawberry, is a Beefeater gin with natural strawberry flavouring added. Its strength is 37.5% ABV, lower than the brand's classic expressions. The base is the recipe of Beefeater London Dry Gin.
According to Difford's Guide, the drink follows the original Beefeater London Dry recipe with strawberry flavouring added. A review by Drinkhacker also names the brand's regular dry gin as the base, with natural strawberry aromas. Because flavouring is added, it is not a London gin in the strict sense: for that category EU rules require that flavour come only from distillation. The owner of the brand is Pernod Ricard.
Why this matters to you. Pink is sweeter and fruitier than the other lines, so do not compare it with Beefeater 24 or with the juniper-led core gin: according to critics, strawberry dominates. Check the percentage on the label, and if in doubt about the category, check the wording on the bottle. The WHO reminds us that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption.
