🥃 Bulleit 10 Year Old Rye
Bulleit rye whiskey with 95 % rye and at least 10 years of ageing in new charred oak barrels; 45.6 % ABV (91.2 proof); permanent version since 2024.
Bulleit 10 Year Old Rye is a rye whiskey from the Bulleit brand with a minimum ageing of 10 years. It was announced in September 2024 as a permanent version. Its strength is 45.6 % ABV (91.2 proof). The grain bill is the same as in the standard Bulleit Rye: 95 % rye and 5 % malted barley.
Production. According to Breaking Bourbon and Fred Minnick, the whiskey matures for at least 10 years in new charred American white oak barrels. It belongs to the “10 Year Aged Whiskeys” range together with the 10-year bourbon. The sources do not specify where the spirit was distilled, so we do not state it.
Why it matters to you. Comparing it with Bulleit Rye without an age statement shows what a longer ageing changes with the same grain; comparing it with Bulleit 10 Year Old Bourbon shows how the grain affects the taste at the same age. A 12-year version was a limited release, so it is not covered here. The WHO reminds that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption.
