🥃 Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee
Jägermeister line with cold-extracted Arabica coffee and cocoa, 33% ABV; introduced in 2019.
Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee is a line in which the original Jägermeister recipe with 56 plants is combined with cold extraction of Arabica coffee and a small share of cocoa. Its strength is 33% ABV. The producer describes the taste as rich coffee with a touch of chocolate. The line was announced in September 2019.
How it is made. According to the producer, farm-grown coffee beans from South America are roasted and ground at a local coffee manufactory, then steeped in cold water in the producer's own extraction plant. Alcohol is added to stabilise the macerate, together with soluble cocoa. This macerate is then combined with the original liqueur.
Why this matters to you. Cold Brew is a little weaker than Original (35%), but it has a completely different coffee profile, so it should not be seen as just a softer version. Check the full name and percentage on the label to avoid confusing it with the classic line. The WHO reminds us that there is no safe amount of alcohol.
