Rustichella d'Abruzzo 90 Rapida is a line of spaghetti that cook in 90 seconds. By composition it is ordinary dry durum wheat pasta: the ingredient list contains only durum wheat semolina and water. According to the company, the high-quality semolina, bronze dies and slow, low-temperature drying make it possible to serve a plate of artisanal pasta in a minute and a half.
The shop sells the spaghetti in 300 g packs with different designs – Il Volo, Il Pilota, Il Ciclista and Il Bacio – as well as Blue Queen. The short cooking time helps whenever time is tight: lunch on a working day, camping or a small kitchen.
They are dressed like ordinary spaghetti – with aglio e olio, tomato sauce or pesto. Cook them in plenty of salted boiling water and drain as soon as the time is up, because it is much shorter than for classic spaghetti, which usually need 8–12 minutes.
