🧀 Arla Buko
Arla Buko is Arla's cream cheese made with Danish cream, in several flavours, together with processed cheese produced under the Buko name since 1932.
Arla Buko is an Arla Foods brand of cream cheese made with Danish cream, which also includes a range of processed cheese.
Buko processed cheese has been made since 1932. The cream cheese is soft and spreadable and comes in flavours such as Herbs & Spices, Pepper, Provence, Tex-Mex, Toscana and Pineapple. Since 2009 the range has also included Buko Light, with 50% less fat.
Cream cheese belongs to the fresh cheeses: it is not ripened and is eaten soon after production. The processed side of the range belongs to processed cheeses and cheese products, which are made by melting cheese into a smooth, spreadable mass.
The products are made by Arla Foods, the Danish dairy cooperative owned by dairy farmers.
How to use it: spread Buko on bread, crispbread and bagels; fill wraps and tortillas with the Tex-Mex flavour; stir Herbs & Spices or Provence into sauces, baked potatoes and pasta; and serve the Pineapple flavour on crackers or in sweet-savoury snacks. Keep it in the fridge and use it within a few days of opening.
