Like the rest of Cruzan rum, it is made from sugar cane molasses and distilled in column stills on the island of St. Croix. The component rums mature in charred oak barrels; unlike the light version, the blend is not decolourised, so it has an amber colour. The brand describes the taste as round, with woody notes and a honeyed finish.
