Gallo Pasta Fresca is the fresh filled pasta range of Pastas Gallo. According to the official site the dough is made from 100% wheat semolina of top quality, and the fillings include meat, cheese, mushrooms and vegetables. Fresh pasta has a tender texture and needs only a few minutes of cooking; it must be kept in the fridge and eaten before the date on the pack. Whether it can be frozen depends on the product. Grupo Gallo makes its fresh products in a plant in Granollers, near Barcelona.
The core of the range is Sabores Nuestros («our flavours»), filled pasta with Spanish fillings: con Ternera (beef), con Jamón Ibérico (Iberian ham), con Setas del Bosque (wild mushrooms) and con Queso Manchego. The range also has Raviolis Gallo, square or rectangular and flatter, with meat fillings, and Tortellini Gallo, rolled into a small ring.
Gallo suggests mushrooms with butter and sage, a Manchego gratin with light béchamel, beef with tomato sauce and Parmesan, or Iberian ham with cream and nutmeg. The range belongs to filled pasta and fresh pasta.
