Gallo Clásica
Classic range of Gallo dry pasta from Spain made from durum wheat semolina: spaghetti, plumas (penne), hélices, macaroni and fideuá.
Gallo Clásica is the classic range of dry durum wheat pasta from Pastas Gallo, meant for everyday cooking. According to the official site it is made from durum wheat semolina; the durum wheat is of local origin and is milled in the company's own mill, so the maker controls the process from grain to pasta. The dough is kneaded twice and made from selected wheat varieties, so the pasta stays firm, does not stick and can be cooked al dente.
The range has twelve products with Spanish names: spaghetti (Spaghetti fino, Spaghetti nº 3), plumas, which are penne (Plumas nº 3, nº 6 and Plumas rayadas), hélices, a spiral close to fusilli, ridged macaroni (Macarrón rayado), tallarín ribbons, Cintas nº 1, mini plumas, mini pajaritas (small farfalle) and fideuá, short thin noodles for the dish of the same name. Cooking times depend on the shape and are printed on the pack.
The maker recommends the range for tomato, vegetable, meat or fish sauces. It belongs to dry pasta from durum wheat.
