3 Glocken ("3 bells") is a German pasta brand. According to its website it has been making pasta since 1884 and has been one of Germany's leading pasta makers for more than 130 years. The website names Newlat GmbH in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, as the company behind the brand; Newlat GmbH also makes Birkel pasta, and the 3 Glocken factory outlet is in Mannheim. The brand's website does not name a founder or an original town.
3 Glocken has two pasta ranges. GENUSS PUR is egg-free dry pasta: according to the brand it is made from pure durum wheat and spring water from the Odenwald, "nothing else". It includes spaghetti, linguine, maccaroni, Spiralen, Korkzieher (corkscrews), several kinds of ribbon noodles and egg-free spätzle. Die mag ich ("I like these") is the egg pasta range, made from durum wheat semolina and egg; its spätzle contain 10% eggs from barn-raised hens. It includes family favourites such as spaghetti, Bandnudeln, Hörnchen, Fadennudeln and soup pasta in the form of Sternchen (little stars) and Buchstaben (letters).
The two ranges show the usual German choice under one brand: dry durum wheat pasta without egg and egg pasta. Spätzle, ribbon noodles and soup pasta reflect German home cooking.
