Lustucru Sélection
French brand of fresh pasta: gnocchi à poêler, filled pasta and tagliatelle; part of Lustucru Premium Groupe, headquartered in Lyon.
Lustucru Sélection is a French brand of fresh pasta: gnocchi à poêler, filled pasta (pâtes farcies) and tagliatelle. It belongs to Lustucru Premium Groupe, a French group headquartered in Lyon that is itself part of Ebro Foods of Spain; the group lists Lustucru Sélection among its three leading brands, alongside Taureau Ailé (rice) and Garofalo (pasta).
The Lustucru name goes back to 1911: according to the history page of Lustucru, a competition poster showing a pasta box painted with a blue checkerboard was chosen then, and the name Lustucru appeared the same day. In 2002 the fresh pasta and rice activities of Lustucru were sold, and the company Pastacorp was created to keep dry pasta under the Lustucru brand. Lustucru Frais is a subsidiary of the group, with a plant at Communay.
According to the group's commitments page, all its fresh pasta is made with free-range eggs, and its filled fresh pasta has no artificial flavourings and no added preservatives. The brand's website shows gnocchi à poêler (for example the Extra Camembert and Margherita versions), tortellini à poêler (Crunchy Fondant with emmental and ham), ravioles with ham and fresh cheese, and a tagliatelle recipe with smoked salmon; filled pasta is listed under pâtes farcies.
