Sorrentino Primi Pasti
Pastificio Sorrentino's organic line of small pasta for young children: alfabeto, anellini, ditalini, risone and tubetti.
Sorrentino Primi Pasti is a new organic line from Pastificio Sorrentino in Gragnano, designed for small children. It is dry durum wheat pasta made from organic semolina, in small shapes that are easy for children to eat.
The line has eight shapes: alfabeto, letters of the alphabet (8 minutes), fusilletti and ditalini (9), anellini, gemelle, pennette and tubetti (10) and risone (12 minutes).
Tiny shapes such as alfabeto, anellini and risone go into broths and vegetable soups, while fusilletti, gemelle and pennette are served with a light tomato or vegetable sauce. The name plays on the Italian "primi pasti", meaning both "first courses" and a child's "first meals".
The line belongs to "L'Anima di Grano", the organic family of Pastificio Sorrentino in Gragnano: semolina from durum wheat grown organically in Italy, certified by ICEA and traceable "from the land to the table", bronze dies and slow drying at low temperature.
