Cantare Durum
Cantare's range of dry pasta made from top-grade durum wheat flour and water: nine shapes, including spaghetti No. 18, linguine, bucatini, fusilli and penne rigate.
Cantare Durum is the only dry pasta range of the Cantare brand. The ingredients on the official website are the same for every shape: top-grade durum wheat flour for pasta and drinking water, with no eggs. In other words, it is dry durum wheat pasta in the classic sense.
The range has nine shapes. Long: spaghetti No. 18, spaghettini No. 14, linguine No. 30 and bucatini No. 35, plus vermicelli. Short: fusilli, penne rigate, rigatoni and cellentani, spiral tubes similar to cavatappi. Most shapes come in 400 g packs, bucatini in 300 g, and spaghetti No. 18 also in 700 g.
The brand advises cooking the pasta al dente in salted water, using 1 litre of water per 100 g of pasta. On the website, spaghetti No. 18 is used in recipes for carbonara, bolognese and Kyiv-style pasta with chestnuts.
