Mlekpol is a Polish dairy cooperative from Grajewo in Podlaskie whose cheeses include Senator, Złoty Mazur and Kurpiowski, Gouda, Edam and mozzarella.
Mlekpol is the Mlekpol Dairy Cooperative in Grajewo (Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Mlekpol w Grajewie), a Polish cooperative based in Podlaskie. According to the cooperative, it has around 8,000 member farmers, and in 2021 its milk purchases exceeded 2 billion litres.
Its products are made at 14 plants, including Grajewo, Zambrów, Mrągowo, Kolno, Sejny, Sokółka and Radom. Besides Mlekpol, it sells dairy products under brands such as Łaciate, Mazurski Smak and Rolmlecz.
The cheese range includes ripened yellow cheeses. Senator Emmentaler is a hard rennet cheese that, according to the producer, ripens for a long time and forms a natural dry rind. Senator Gouda from Kolno is a Dutch-type cheese ripened on wooden boards by the dry-rind method, and Złoty Mazur is a Dutch-type cheese made in Mrągowo. Kurpiowski is also in the range. The cooperative also lists Gouda, Edam, mozzarella, mascarpone, twaróg and processed cheese.
