Pastai Linea BIO

Pastai Linea BIO is Pastai's organic fresh pasta line, sold under the Pastai Bio mark. The company says it uses ingredients from controlled organic farming, without preservatives or additives; the products are certified by an authorised control body (IT BIO 009).

The line has two parts. Pasta without filling: egg spaghetti, square-section spaghetti alla chitarra and tagliatelle; the spaghetti contain organic durum wheat semolina, organic eggs (24%) and water. Filled pasta: girasoli and margherite with spinach and ricotta, basil quadrotti and porcini quadrotti; the dough is organic semolina, wheat flour and eggs (23%) with water, and the filling is, for example, 40% spinach and 39% ricotta.

The organic line repeats familiar Pastai shapes with certified ingredients. Thin egg spaghetti and tagliatelle suit bolognese, cream or mushroom sauces, while the filled pasta suits butter and sage or a light tomato sauce.

Like the company's other products, the organic pasta is packed in trays to keep it fresh.
