Piątnica Mascarpone
Piątnica Mascarpone is a Polish mascarpone made from pasteurised cream to a traditional Italian recipe.
Piątnica Mascarpone is a mascarpone made by the Polish dairy cooperative in Piątnica near Łomża. According to the producer, it is one of the few on the market made to a traditional Italian recipe.
The ingredients are pasteurised cream and the acidity regulator citric acid. That is how mascarpone is made: the cream sets through acid and heat, not rennet. The cheese is creamy, delicately sweet and has a velvety, thick texture. It is sold in 250 g tubs.
How to use it: in tiramisu and other desserts and in cake creams; thanks to its thick texture it also works in hot dishes such as sauces, pasta, meat and vegetable dishes, pizza and bakes.
The range is listed under fresh cheeses; the cheese itself is described on the mascarpone page.
