Granoro Bio Integrale is Granoro's organic wholegrain dry pasta. The range appeared in 2013 as the wholegrain version of the Bio line.
The ingredients are whole durum wheat semolina from wheat 100% grown in Italy by organic farming, and water. Whole wheat flour keeps the bran and germ, so this pasta is darker and contains more fibre than pasta made from white semolina. As for Bio, the wheat is grown mainly in Apulia, Basilicata and Sicily, and the supply chain is certified by ICEA.
The range has 11 formats in 500 g packs, including linguine no. 3, fusilli no. 100, farfalle no. 198, penne rigate no. 103, mezze penne rigate no. 106, ditalini rigati no. 60, orecchiette no. 91 and Sardinian gnocchetti no. 51.
This dry durum wheat pasta meets two requirements at once: organic origin and the whole grain. It suits people who want more fibre in their diet, and its fuller flavour pairs well with vegetables, pulses and olive oil.
