🥃 Sauza Signature Blue
Sauza tequila line in Blanco and Reposado versions: blue Weber agave, juice cooked after pressing; 40 % ABV; Tequila.net describes it as 100 % agave.
Sauza Signature Blue is a tequila line of the Sauza brand in two versions: Blanco and Reposado, both 40 % ABV. The producer emphasises blue Weber agave and the fresh taste of the agave. Tequila.net describes this tequila, also sold as Sauza Blue, as a 100 % agave tequila.
According to the producer's website, the juice is first pressed out of the agave heart and only then cooked, which the brand says keeps the fresh agave taste. Tequila.net writes about two distillations, the producer number NOM 1102, and processing of the agave within 48 hours of harvest. Under the Mexican standard, reposado rests in oak for at least two months; the producer describes its taste as woody and peppery.
Why this matters to you. Signature Blue is a line focused on agave, unlike Sauza Silver, which Difford's Guide classes as a mixto. Choose Blanco for the fresh agave, and Reposado for the notes of oak. For comparison, Patrón Silver or Don Julio Blanco are options. Check the words “100 % de agave” on the label. The WHO reminds: there is no safe dose of alcohol.
