🥃 Senior & Co Curaçao 40% Triple Sec
Stronger colourless line of Senior & Co, launched in 2019: 40% ABV (80 proof), 750 ml bottle.
Senior & Co Curaçao 40% Triple Sec is the stronger colourless line of Senior & Co. It was launched in 2019 as a continuation of the company’s “true” curaçaos. The strength is 40% ABV (80 proof), sold in a 750 ml bottle. According to the producer, the liqueur has a fuller body and a pronounced orange flavour and aroma.
According to Curaçao Chronicle, the company presented the novelty in January 2019 at the Chobolobo estate. The publication writes that it is made to the same recipe used since 1896 for colourless curaçao. The process is described on the producer’s website: laraha peel is steeped with spices in a copper still, then distilled and filtered. The page does not specify a separate technology for this line.
Why this matters to you. The producer suggests drinking it as an aperitif or digestif with coffee, and also in cocktails that need a strong orange flavour. A distributor called it a stronger alternative to the 31% version. Because of the higher strength, portions and proportions will differ. The WHO reminds us that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption.
