The north-eastern shore with Olaszrizling.

Balatonfüred-Csopak is a wine district on the north-eastern shore of Lake Balaton in Hungary. It is part of the Balaton wine region and lies by the Tihany peninsula. The main villages are Csopak and Balatonfüred. The district is sheltered by hills to the north, and the lake to the south gives mild weather.

The district's best-known grape is Olaszrizling (Welschriesling). It grows on the slopes, and the wine from it comes out fresh, with a mineral tone. Thanks to the fame of this wine, since July 2020 "Csopak" (Csopaki) has been a protected designation of origin of the EU (PDO). The district's subdivisions are Csopak, Tihany and Füred.

The wines are mostly white, with some red as well.

Tihany is a peninsula with a Benedictine abbey whose charter of 1055 is the oldest surviving document with Hungarian words. Here the vineyards sit beside old buildings. Csopak is a village in Veszprém County on Lake Balaton, and Balatonfüred has long been known as a spa town with mineral springs. Both belong to one wine district. Neighbouring Badacsony is known for its basalt hills, while here the main grape is Olaszrizling, and "Csopak" traditionally means wine made from it.
