Garofalo Spaghetti alla Chitarra Integrali is a long pasta with a round cross-section from the Garofalo Pasta Integrale Biologica range. Shape type: spaghetti alla chitarra. Garofalo is a pasta maker from Gragnano near Naples, founded in 1789.
Ingredients: organic wholemeal durum wheat semolina. It is drawn through bronze dies, which gives it a rough surface. Thickness 1.9 mm, length 260 mm.
Cooking time: 12 minutes. Pack size: 500 g. As with any dry pasta, it is cooked in plenty of boiling salted water, about one litre per 100 g, and drained while still firm to the bite. Classic sauces for this shape are carbonara, cacio e pepe, spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino and spaghetti alla puttanesca, as well as tomato and seafood sauces.
