Ile de France Brie
Ile de France Brie is the Brie range of Savencia's export brand Ile de France: 250 g and 3 kg Brie, Petit Brie, Mini Brie and slices.
Ile de France Brie is the Brie range of the Ile de France brand, which the Savencia group sells on foreign markets. Brie is a soft cow's milk cheese with a white bloomy rind and a creamy paste.
On the brand's international website the range includes a 250 g Brie, a large 3 kg wheel for slicing, Petit Brie 125 g, portioned Mini Brie (5×25 g) for snacking and 150 g Brie slices. Next to it the brand sells Brie au Bleu (125 g), a blue-veined Brie it lists among its blue cheeses. Formats and weights may differ by country.
It is an industrial Brie without a protected name, unlike Brie de Meaux or Brie de Melun with PDO status.
Ile de France Brie is served on cheese boards and in baguette sandwiches, baked in the oven and added to salads and tarts. Let it warm up a little before serving and keep it in the fridge in its original pack.
