Granoro Dedicato Formati Classici is the core dry pasta range in Granoro's Dedicato series. The ingredients are semolina from durum wheat 100% grown in Apulia, and water. The wheat comes from a network of 350 Apulian farms, two mills and two grain-storage cooperatives, and grain lots are traced from the field to the factory in Corato. Granoro has developed the Dedicato project since the early 2010s; in 2022, for its tenth anniversary, the range got a new look.
The brand's online shop lists about 40 formats, each with its own number: bucatini no. 11, casarecce no. 88, cavatelli no. 87, elicoidali no. 261, farfalle no. 198, orecchiette no. 91, mezzi occhi di lupo no. 20 and fettucce no. 2. Some formats also come in 1 kg packs.
This is everyday dry durum wheat pasta: long formats suit oil-based and tomato sauces, the Apulian orecchiette and cavatelli go with vegetables and pulses, and short ridged formats suit thick sauces and baked dishes. For cooks who want to know where the grain grew, the range offers a single, named origin: Apulia.
