Pasta Zara Linea Speciale is the Pasta Zara line of dry pasta for special dishes. According to the official site, all shapes are made from durum wheat semolina and water, without egg; the wheat is grown in EU and non-EU countries and milled in Italy.
The line has five shapes. Semolina lasagne sheets and cannelloni, wide tubes for stuffing, are meant for baking in the oven. Semolina tagliatelle are egg-free ribbons that cook in 8–9 minutes, while the egg tagliatelle of Linea All'uovo are ready in 4–5 minutes. Fidelini are a very thin long pasta that cooks in 2–3 minutes and suits broths. Fusilli tricolore are spirals in three colours that cook in 9–11 minutes.
The line belongs to dry durum wheat pasta. Lasagne and cannelloni are made with Bolognese sauce, béchamel, ricotta and spinach; semolina tagliatelle go with vegetable and tomato sauces.
