🏭 Ronzoni

Ronzoni is a US pasta brand. According to the company, its founder Emanuele Ronzoni emigrated as a boy in 1881 from San Fruttuoso, a small fishing village in Italy, and entered the macaroni trade in New York in his teens. After a first small company with a partner and the Atlantic Macaroni Company in Queens, which he set up with two others, in 1915 he founded his own Ronzoni Macaroni Company. New plants were built in Long Island City, and Ronzoni became the leading pasta brand in the New York market. Emanuele Ronzoni was later succeeded by his son, and in the 1950s and 1960s the pasta reached most states on the east and west coasts as well as Puerto Rico. Today Ronzoni belongs to Richardson Food & Ingredients.

The brand's website sorts its pasta into Traditional, Whole Grain, Gluten Free and Protein varieties, plus egg noodles. Its product list includes long shapes (spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, angel hair), short shapes (penne rigate, rigatoni, ziti, rotini, cavatappi, elbows, shells), baking shapes (lasagna, jumbo shells) and egg noodles. Ronzoni Whole Grain is described as 100% whole wheat, and Ronzoni Gluten Free as a blend of white and brown rice, corn and quinoa.
