Delverde is an Italian pasta brand that has been making dry durum wheat pasta in Fara San Martino, Abruzzo, since 1967. The factory lies in the Majella National Park, and according to the official site the pasta is made from the spring water of the Verde river and semolina selected from durum wheat grown in Italy and other countries.
The official site is run by Princes Italia S.p.A. of Reggio Emilia, a company subject to the direction and coordination of Princes Ltd.
The company stresses rough extrusion (trafilatura ruvida) and slow drying at low temperatures, which, it says, give the pasta excellent cooking performance.
The ranges are Pasta di Semola (spaghetti, linguine, bucatini, fusilli, farfalle, rigatoni and dozens of other shapes), Nidi (nests such as tagliatelle, fettuccine, spaghetti and capelli d'angelo), Egg Pasta (fresh eggs from free-range hens, including the Le Matasse series with pappardelle), I Giganti (large formats such as conchiglioni and paccheri), Wholewheat Organic (100% Italian organic wholewheat durum semolina), Gluten Free (maize, rice and quinoa flour), High Protein (fava bean flour with wheat and pea protein), 100% Legumi (green pea or red lentil flour), Specialties with potato gnocchi, and the Classic Range.
