Divella Pasta Integrale 100% Grano Italiano
Divella range of wholegrain dry pasta from durum wheat grown entirely in Italy under contracts with farmers: six shapes.
Divella Pasta Integrale 100% Grano Italiano is Divella's range of wholegrain dry durum wheat pasta. As the name says, the grain used for it is 100% Italian.
According to the official site, Divella buys this wheat under supply-chain contracts. These contracts support durum wheat growing in Italy, give farmers better pay and require good farming practice. The grain is milled gently to keep its qualities; because the whole grain is used, the bran and germ stay in the pasta, which is darker and richer in fibre than ordinary semolina pasta.
The range has six shapes: Spaghetti Ristorante n. 8, Mezze Maniche n. 18, Penne Ziti Rigate n. 27, Fusilli n. 40, Orecchiette n. 86 and tagliatelle. All are wholegrain versions of shapes from the classic range. Wholegrain Spaghetti Ristorante cook in 7–8 minutes.
The range is aimed at people who want more fibre in their diet and care where their grain comes from. It contains gluten, so it is not suitable for people with coeliac disease.
