Castello is a Danish cheese brand founded in 1893 by master cheesemaker Rasmus Tholstrup and owned by Arla Foods since 2006.

According to the brand's own story, in 1944 his son Henrik Tholstrup created a completely new type of cheese, and in 1958 he expanded the brand by acquiring several dairies across Denmark. In the 1960s the Tholstrup Cheese Company began developing the first Castello blue cheese, and Castello Creamy Blue was introduced in 1969. In 2006 Arla Foods, the Danish dairy cooperative owned by farmers, acquired the Tholstrup Cheese Company. According to Castello, the brand is now sold in more than 50 countries. Arla says Castello has been one of its three major brands since 2006 and that the range includes more than 40 cheeses.

The Castello product page lists several families: blue cheese (Mild Blue, Intense Blue, Extra Creamy Danish Blue slices), soft cheese (Camembert, Brie, Extra Creamy Brie), Havarti, Cheddar (red onion and black pepper slices) and cream cheese rings (lime and coconut, piquant, chilli and ginger, chives and spring onion).
