De Cecco organic pasta made to EU organic farming standards: durum wheat, wholegrain and wholegrain emmer (farro dicocco).
De Cecco Pasta Bio is De Cecco's organic range. According to the official website, its raw materials are grown to European organic farming standards using only natural methods.
The range has three groups. The first is organic dry durum wheat pasta: spaghetti No. 12, penne rigate No. 41, fusilli No. 34, farfalle No. 93, square spaghettoni, sedanini, chifferi and soup shapes (stellette, alphabet). The second is organic wholegrain pasta (penne, fusilli, casareccia, spaghettini). The third is pasta from organic wholemeal emmer (farro integrale; the ingredient is farro dicocco, Triticum dicoccum, not spelt): spaghetti, tortiglioni, penne, ditali and Abruzzese sagnette.
Organic spaghetti No. 12 cook in 12 minutes (11 for al dente); wholemeal emmer spaghetti cook in 11 minutes (9 for al dente).
The range is aimed at people who choose organic food. Emmer is also a wheat, so the whole range contains gluten.
