Rummo Le Bio Integrali is Rummo's range of organic wholegrain dry pasta. The company describes it as traditional pasta with the benefits of wholegrain, made from durum wheat from Italian organic farming.
The base is wholegrain semolina from organic durum wheat: it keeps all parts of the grain, including the bran, so the pasta is darker and contains more fibre. The range combines two others, the wholegrain Le Integrali and the organic Le Biologiche. It is made in Benevento with the Lenta Lavorazione® method, with slow kneading and drying set for each shape.
There are 10 shapes: spaghetti No. 3, spaghetti grossi No. 5, linguine No. 13, mezze penne rigate No. 28, fusilli No. 48, elicoidali No. 49, mezzi rigatoni No. 51, penne rigate No. 66, small tubetti rigati No. 72 for soup and farfalle No. 85. According to the official site, elicoidali cook in 11 minutes; they are ridged tubes 41 mm long that the company suggests with meat or vegetable ragù.
The range is aimed at people who choose both wholegrain and certified organic food.
