Rummo Pasta di Legumi

Pasta range ✔ Checked: 10.2026 · sources: 2 Updated:

Rummo pasta made from lentils or chickpeas with brown rice, naturally gluten-free: four short shapes.

Rummo Pasta di Legumi ('legume pasta') is a Rummo range in which pulses take the place of wheat. The company describes it as naturally gluten-free and a source of plant protein.

There are two base ingredients, lentils and chickpeas, each combined with brown (wholegrain) rice. For the chickpea fusilli the official site specifies chickpeas from Tuscany. There is no wheat in this pasta, so it suits people who avoid gluten as well as those who want more plant protein. Ingredient percentages are not given on the range page.

The range has four short shapes: lentil maccheroncelli No. 7 (thin tubes), lentil pennette No. 70, chickpea fusilli No. 48 and chickpea penne rigate No. 66. The chickpea fusilli cook in 9 minutes according to the official site, and their spirals hold the sauce well.

On its site Rummo pairs these shapes with seasonal vegetables, cheese and fish. For gluten-free pasta in the usual shapes the brand has another range, Senza Glutine, made from maize and brown rice.
