ALB-GOLD Bio Dinkel Pasta

ALB-GOLD Bio Dinkel Pasta is the organic spelt pasta that ALB-GOLD makes in Trochtelfingen on the Swabian Jura. The official shop says it is made from 100% German spelt. The penne, for example, contain a single ingredient: organic spelt flour type 630 (spelt is a type of wheat). The raw material comes from German agriculture, and the Naturland label confirms independent checks on ecological and social standards.

The line includes penne, spaghetti, fusilli and spirals, Drelli, tagliatelle, Schnittnudeln, linguine, shells, elbows, Nudelreis, lasagne sheets and Walznudeln soup noodles, as well as wholegrain spelt spaghetti and spirals. There are also spelt Spätzle – Bio Dinkel Spätzle and the egg-based Bio Dinkel Eierspätzle in large packs – and the children's shapes Bio Dinkel Kid's Pasta Zoo.

Spelt has a nutty taste, which brings variety to the plate. Spelt penne cook in 9–11 minutes; the shop recommends them with spicy sauces with paprika and chilli and with herb salads. Organic products are certified by DE-ÖKO-006. A separate group brand, DINKEL MAX, also specialises in spelt pasta.
