Faella Grandi Classici
Faella's line of classic Pasta di Gragnano IGP shapes: spaghetti, linguine, bucatini, penne and tortiglioni from Italian durum wheat.
Faella Grandi Classici is the line of classic shapes from the Faella pasta factory in Gragnano. The company calls it its "Pasta di Gragnano IGP" line, recalling tradition and offering the classic Gragnano shapes. The pasta is made from 100% Italian durum wheat semolina and Lattari Mountains water following the IGP specification, extruded through bronze dies and dried slowly below 48 °C for up to 60 hours.
The line has around twenty shapes. Long ones include spaghetti, spaghettini, spaghettoni, linguine, bucatini, fettuccine and spaghetti alla chitarra, as well as spaghetti made from the historic Senatore Cappelli wheat. Short ones include penne medie rigate, smooth penne, small penne piccole rigate, tortiglioni, gemelli, casarecce, sedani, canneroni and mezzi canneroni, ziti tagliati, tofe, genovesine and volcano-shaped Vesuvio. For soups there are anelli rigati and semi di grano, and pasta mista is a mix of shapes for dishes with legumes.
This is Faella's core everyday pasta, for tomato and meat sauces, Neapolitan ragù, minestrone and fish and seafood dishes.
